The Massachusetts REALTOR® Political Action CommitteeRPAC

About RPAC
The Massachusetts REALTOR® Political Action Committee (MA RPAC) is a grassroots political network of REALTORS® who raise campaign contributions for pro-REALTOR® candidates, mobilize REALTOR® voters, and promote critical legislative and regulatory issues affecting the real estate industry. As one of the leading PACs in the state, MA RPAC enables the REALTOR® voice to be heard on Beacon Hill.

Why contribute to MA RPAC?
Investing in RPAC at the state level ensures that the over 200 State Senators and Representatives hear the REALTOR® voice at the local level and represent the interests of real estate professionals and home owners. Massachusetts has PAC laws limiting contributions from individuals to $500, encouraging grassroots-level political action such as RPAC. That is why every investment to RPAC, from $1 to $500, makes a difference and helps preserves property rights in the Commonwealth.

How will my contribution be used?
100% of your contribution is used to elect pro-REALTOR® candidates: 70% remains in the state to be used in state and local elections. 30% of your contribution will be forwarded to National RPAC to fund key US House and Senate races.  Until your state PAC reaches its RPAC goal 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a; after the state PAC reaches its RPAC goal, it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates. RPAC is neither a Republican nor a Democratic organization. Instead, your contribution to RPAC is a vote for the REALTOR® Party.

More than one third of the funds the National Association receives annually come from Major Investors-those REALTORS® who invest $1000 or more annually to ensure that REALTOR® friendly legislation and policy is supported. Major Investors are the advocates and political leaders that make up the backbone of RPAC.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

GNR has dedicated volunteers that participate in numerous activities with State legislators. These individuals, called State Political Coordinators or SPC’s, are a link between the Real Estate industry and our State House. All REALTOR members are invited to attend REALTOR Day on Beacon Hill each June, to further demonstrate the commitment to homeownership advocacy on behalf of the association and the public.  For more information on governmental impacts and actions on real estate visit the following pages:
